Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on “View Cart” and then “Checkout” you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. We are able to deliver orders outside of the UK. Those wishing to place orders from other countries, payment is made via credit card only. Carriage will be charged at cost.

We accept credit card payment or on invoice for churches and clergy and existing customers with a credit history. Customers will be contacted by phone for verification for all orders placed on invoice. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, and JBC Cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to be despatched. Backordered items are not charged until they are despatched. Cancelled Orders – Once goods have been despatched, the order cannot be cancelled. Unfortunately we cannot accept cancellation of orders for specially-made items once manufacture has commenced, unless in our view the item is likely to be required by another customer within the foreseeable future.

Shipping And Handling

We deliver orders using a variety of methods, always balancing economy and safety. Delivery charges for normal delivery methods are as follows; if you require guaranteed next-day delivery, please state this in the comment field above and you will be charge delivery at cost.

For items other than large bulk items such as church furnishings, delivery charges are computed by the total order value inclusive of VAT:£1.00 – £19.99: £3.00£20.00 – £59.66: £6.00£60.00 – £119.99: £10.00£120 + : Free DeliveryDelivery charges for church furnishings will be at cost and you will be advised of this before processing of the order.Free Delivery: If your total order, from any part of the catalogue, is in excess of £120 (including VAT), delivery is free of charge (excluding church furniture).Overseas Delivery: Delivery charges for orders outside of the UK mainland will be charged at cost. Please note that we cannot send Communion Wine or Candle Oil overseas. You will be notified of delivery charges prior to processing of order for confirmation.

Delivery Schedule

Due to space considerations, we are unable to carry all items in this Catalogue in constant stock at our Lyminge warehouse – some have to be ordered from our manufacturers. We try very hard to deliver orders to our customers within 2-4 weeks for non-stock goods and 2-3 days for in-stock items. You will be provided at the time of order an approximate delivery date, and thereafter we will keep you informed of any changes to that date.

If you require items for a special occasion, we will do our utmost to ensure that they are delivered on time.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Most deliveries are made within 2-4 weeks for back ordered items.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other countries are exclusive of VAT charges.

Credit Card Security

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

F. A. Dumont warrants that the goods will correspond with their specification and will be free from defects in material or workmanship, subject to the following conditions:

(i) F. A. Dumont shall not be liable: (a) in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, negligence, failure to follow instructions, abnormal working conditions, misuse or alteration. (b) if the total price for the goods has not been paid by the due date. (b) Where goods are faulty, F. A. Dumont shall be entitled to replace the goods free of charge, rectify the fault, or at F. A. Dumont’s discretion refund the price of the goods, and F. A. Dumont shall have no further liability. (c)F. A. Dumont shall not be liable for any loss or damage whether direct or consequential or otherwise but in any event F. A. Dumont’s liability (if any) shall be limited to the price of the goods. (d) Nothing in these terms affects F. A. Dumont’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from F. A. Dumont’s negligence. (e) Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

F.A. Dumont does not disclose buyers information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

Returns Policy

We will be happy to replace any defective item. Please contact us for return instructions. Items returned without prior approval may not be credited to your account.

Remittance Terms

Orders that are placed on invoice will be invoiced on the date of despatch and we would appreciate payment no later than thirty days following the invoice date.
